If
you’re going in peak times, you may find it difficult
(and expensive) to find parking. The car parks closest to
the beachfront tend to get very full so if you’re staying
in a hotel it may be easier to catch a local bus which will
deposit you right on the beach near Brighton pier. You can
get more information on parking from
here and details of Brighton's "Park & Ride" system from
here
One
of the best places to do a spot of sunbathing is the stretch
along Grand Junction Road right by the pier. There are a
couple of parking areas nearby and aside from the festivities
of the pier and arcade nearby there are several stalls and
shops offering food, drink, snacks and more. Near here, there’s
the Brighton Sea Life centre too.
If you’re staying in one of the more popular Brighton
hotels on the sea you’re probably no more than a few
minutes walk from the main beach area anyway – if this
is indeed the location you wish to stay at, Royal Albion
Hotel, Palace Hotel and Queens hotel are three premium choices.
